Developing our employer brand

We aspire to build a strong employer brand, capable of inspiring and motivating our employees to commit themselves fully to their daily missions. This ambition is underpinned by our Ethics Charter, which defines fundamental values such as integrity, social responsibility, loyalty, respect for the individual, transparency, as well as the fight against corruption and unfair competition, and which guides the conduct of all Group members.

Promoting equality in the workplace

We aim to provide all our employees with an inclusive working environment where every talent has an equal chance of success. We regularly offer our employees training on a variety of topics, including safety, waste management and responsible purchasing.

Leading and supporting the network of CSR coordinators

To ensure strong communication and collaboration, and for CSR issues to be well integrated into all our strategies and operations, we have achieved our target of having a CSR coordinator for every hotel in our Group. This progression has been gradual, as our first CSR manager for the Group was hired in 2018.

Raising employee awareness on sorting waste and protecting biodiversity

We set up workshops and training courses (honey harvesting, waste sorting training, visits of recycling facilities, etc.) and communication campaigns to promote responsible behavior among all our employees.

Promoting well-being at work

Numerous initiatives have been put in place to promote the personal development of our employees. For example, we offer a social assistance service in partnership with CASIE (Conseil Action Sociale Inter-Entreprise), which provides consultations during working hours. In addition, wellness activities such as yoga classes and osteopathy sessions are also available to our employees, at preferential rates, and we also have a running club called Beachcomber Running, which enables our employees to take part in sporting events free of charge.

Promoting and sharing local culture

To make our employees aware of the importance of cultural diversity and to integrate these elements into our daily work life, we have developed an application to familiarize ourselves with Tahitian reo, “Parau Ohie”, which offers learning games and cultural and linguistic content. We also organize occasional traditional meals in the staff cafeteria, and we have an Outrigger canoe club called Beachcomber Va’a, enabling our staff to practice this Polynesian sport.

Involving employees in the CSR process

Everyone has their share of responsibility and can act, which is what we’re promoting with the creation of our Green Team: each department is represented and takes part in our quarterly meetings about CSR in the hotel (compost training, brainstorming session to set up a bottling station, etc.).
