Sharing the local culture with authenticity

To promote the richness of Polynesian craftsmanship and customs, we collaborate with associations and local partners that introduce our guests to traditional activities such as coconut palm weaving, flower crown-making and shell jewelry creation. Our hotels incorporate many cultural elements, through the architecture, the way we welcome guests, activities or culinary specialties offered on site.

Organizing CSR events with our valued partners

We involve schools, universities, associations, and local partners in our approach to sustainability. The regular organization of CSR events for our stakeholders fosters dialogue, cooperation and collective mobilization around social and environmental issuesa priority for our organization.

Lead and participate in local and international networks of committed companies

The Pacific Beachcomber Group is an active member of the Polynesian Sustainable Companies’ Club (Club EPER), a local network supported by the CCISM, ADEME and the French Polynesian government. This participation enables us to share our best practices, exchange ideas with other committed players and contribute to collective actions in favor of sustainable development.

Pursuing CSR certification

To ensure that our practices meet high standards in terms of social and environmental impact, we rely on recognized certifications such as the AFNOR RSE Engagé (ISO 26000) standard for the Brando hotel, and EarthCheck certification for our Maitai hotels.

Implementing a responsible purchasing policy to improve our sustainable sourcing

To help preserve natural resources, reduce carbon emissions, support the local economy and promote ethical practices, we have adopted a Responsible Purchasing Policy and a Responsible Purchasing Charter for suppliers. These tools enable us to ensure compliance with social and environmental criteria, give preference to committed suppliers and sustainable products, while maintaining transparent and fair relations with our partners.

Sponsoring local associations on various CSR themes

We strengthen our ties with local communities by actively supporting associations committed to social and environmental causes, through donations or volunteer work. Our partnerships include the Companies against Cancer Club (Club des Entreprises contre le Cancer) and FAPE’s Fonds Natura Porinetia, of which we are a founding member. These commitments reflect our desire to take concrete action in favor of local sustainable development. Our hotels also apply CCfees (Conservation and Community Fees). This tax is used to raise a fund for our various CSR projects, and is calculated on each guest’s bill at a rate of 1% to 2%.

Communicating our CSR initiatives

We inform and raise awareness among our stakeholders (schools, associations, guests, suppliers) about our efforts to support local initiatives, promote social inclusion and protect the environment. These initiatives are listed in our CSR Report, which we publish every two years. In addition, each entity publishes a monthly communication dedicated to a CSR action on its social networks.
